SANDHI SANTA BARBARA COUNTY CHARDONNAY 2018

Santa Barbara County Chardonnay is a blend from different vineyards located in Santa Maria Valley, Santa Ynez Valley, and Sta. Rita Hills. Vineyard sources include Bien Nacido, Gainey, Zaca Mesa, Ritas Crown, Wenzlau, Bentrock, Duarita, and Sanford & Benedict. The average vineage is 25 years old. The wine was fermented in used older French oak barrels with ambient yeast and without any other additions. The wine was aged for 10 months in barrel and finally racked to stainless steel tanks and bottled with a light fining.

SANDHI PINOT NOIR 2016

Sourced mostly from our Domaine de la Côte estate (70%), the blend is buttressed by old vines fruit from Sanford & Benedict (20%) and a touch from the newcomer, the Patterson Vineyard (10%). The wine was fermented 30% whole bunches and raised in neutral barrels for 14 months.

This deeply colored wine is brimming with aromatic intensity and notes of focused, dark fruits like plum and berry compote with an undercurrent of nori. On the palate the wine possesses great density and a silky texture with resolved tannins. Antonio Galloni Score 94!
